How to Add, Edit and Publish CMS Content

By the end of this doc, you'll be able to:

1. Add and edit items
2. Import content from a website or spreadsheet
3. Let AI write content from your brief
4. Preview and publish content without republishing your whole site

Before You Begin

• A completed Brief, if you want AI to write content.
• Your existing site's URL, or a spreadsheet or doc, if you're importing content.
• Claude or another AI tool connected to the Relume MCP, if you want to add content from there.

Ways to Add Content

Each option starts in the CMS, with a collection selected.

• Write content yourself 
• Import content with Relume AI
• Use your own AI tool (connected to the Relume MCP)
• Let AI write content from your brief

Write and Edit Items

1. Click Add item in the top toolbar in the CMS.
2. Fill in the item's fields.
3. Click Save.

To edit an item, click it in the item grid, make your changes and click Save.

Import Content from Your Existing Website

With Relume AI

1. Click Import with AI in the top toolbar.

   The Agents panel opens on the left.

2. Choose Import from a website or Import from a spreadsheet/doc.
3. Tell the agent what to import, for example: Import the 12 latest blog posts from https://www.yoursite.com/blog
4. Press Enter.

The agent puts each piece of content in the right field, including images.

With the Relume MCP

In Claude or another AI tool connected to the Relume MCP, ask it to add content to your collection, for example: Import the 12 latest blog posts from https://www.yoursite.com/blog into my Blog collection

Let AI Write Content from Your Brief

1. Click Import with AI in the top toolbar.
2. Choose Create content from Brief.
3. Tell the agent what you need, for example: Create 3 client work items written from my brief
4. Press Enter.

Preview and Publish Your Content

1. Click Preview (play) in the top-right toolbar to check your pages.

1. Open the CMS.
2. Click the publish button in the top toolbar, such as Publish 1 change.

This puts your content live without republishing the rest of your site.
